Description
URB-597
URB597 is a potent and selective inhibitor of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), the enzyme that hydrolyzes anandamide
Its a potent, selective synthetic enzyme inhibitor that blocks fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH), the enzyme responsible for breaking down the endocannabinoid anandamide in the body
Inhibits FAAH activity, preventing the degradation of endogenous cannabinoids like anandamide (AEA) and elevating their levels in the brain and tissues.
URB-597 acts on the FAAH enzyme without directly binding to or interfering with cannabinoid receptors (CB1 and CB2).
Shows high specificity for FAAH over other related enzymes, ion channels, and receptors.
