1P-LSD1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide is from the same family as ALD-52 and LSD. 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide is subjectively similar to LSD and is reported to have near-identical results.

Chemically, the only difference between the two is that 1P-LSD has a small propionyl group bound to the 1-position of the indole ring of LSD.

Effects of 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide drug

The effects of 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide are believed to include cognitive euphoria, distorted perception of colours, time, sounds and shapes, hallucinations, and other results similar to those of standard LSD. The original synthesis date of 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide is unknown.

In mice, 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide produces LSD-like effects with 38% the potency of LSD, D, and it is therefore classed as a serotonergic hallucinogen. However, it is itself unable to bind to the serotonergic 5-HT_2A receptors. But since LSD is detected when it is incubated in human serum, 1P-LSD acts, at least in part, as a prodrug for LSD.

Unlike most research chemicals, 1P-LSD has no prior record in the scientific literature. 1-propionyl-lysergic acid diethylamide is very popular amongst chemical researchers, and it is one of the most commonly researched chemicals
